Events with ticket types, QR tickets and check-in

Run one-off events with one or more dates and an overall capacity, on Solo and Pro: ticket types with their own prices and limits, a QR ticket for every person, and check-in by phone at the door, so a ticket can't be used twice. In the free plugin, events show with a Solo badge, so you can see them and try them free for 14 days.

Available Plans: Solo, Pro

In detail

Everything about events with tickets

How events work

  • An event has a title, description, image, a place (or an online link), one or more dates, and an overall capacity for each date.
  • Sales windows: tickets go on sale and stop selling on dates you set, for example closing 2 hours before the start.
  • Questions can be asked for each ticket holder (name, dietary needs) or once per order.

Ticket types (Solo and Pro)

Each ticket type has a name, a price, its own limit and the most one person can buy. Example: General $20 with 50 places, Concession $10 with 30 places. The event's overall capacity still applies, and sales stop at whichever limit is reached first. One order can mix ticket types. A ticket type can also have its own on-sale dates, be hidden (staff only) or need approval.

QR tickets and check-in (Solo and Pro)

Every person gets a ticket with a unique QR code, in the confirmation email and on a printable ticket page. At the door, signed-in staff open Check in on any phone and scan:

  • Valid: checked in, with the name and ticket type;
  • Already used at 19:02, so a ticket can't be used twice;
  • Not for this date, Cancelled or Not found.

Results are shown in colour and words. Manual check-in by name covers people without their phone, a check-in can be undone, and a live count shows arrivals by ticket type. Cancelled or refunded tickets stop working.

Paid places held while paying

Paid tickets use the payment methods you switch on: bank transfer, payment links, or card payments through your own Stripe, PayPal or Mollie account. Places are held for 15 minutes while a guest pays online, and sold-out dates can offer a waiting list.

Questions about events with tickets

Which plans include events?
Solo and Pro. The free plan covers appointments, group places and simple classes; in the free plugin, events show with a Solo badge, and you can try Solo free for 14 days with no card needed.
Can events be free?
Yes. A free event books with no payment step, which suits open days, talks and community events.
Does a QR code contain personal details?
No. It holds only a long random code that your website checks against its own records, so it can't be guessed or forged. QR codes are made on your own website, with no outside service.
What if two staff scan the same ticket at once?
Only one check-in is saved; the other shows "Already used" with the time.
