On Solo and Pro, when the times someone wants are full, they can join a waiting list for a time, a day or a range of days. When a place frees up, CaliDiary offers it in the way you choose: in order, to everyone at once, or to the person you pick. Nobody is booked without saying yes.

When the times a visitor wants are full, they can join the waiting list for a particular time, a day, or a range of days (optionally mornings, afternoons or evenings), for the service and person they chose, or anyone. They answer the booking form's questions and are told clearly that this is not a booking yet. Sold-out event dates show "Join the waiting list" too.
A cancellation, a booking moved, or new hours can free a place. You choose, per booking set-up, how it is offered:

A Waiting list screen shows everyone waiting, what they want and since when, with filters by service, person and date. Staff can offer a free time, book someone at any date and time (the Add booking form opens with their details and answers filled in), or remove them. People leave the list once booked or when their dates have passed. Waiting-list entries are personal data, so they are included in WordPress's export and erase tools.
