Places, not appointments
A studio sells places in a room. In CaliDiary each class is a group session with a fixed number of places, and one booking usually takes one place (or two, if you allow friends to book together). Places are counted inside the booking lock, so a class can never end up with more people than mats.
Health questions, kept private
Teachers need to know about injuries, conditions and pregnancy. Ask on the booking form and the answers stay with the booking, in your own WordPress database, visible only to your staff. They never reach CaliDiary. The "I agree" box can link to your terms or waiver.
Teachers and rooms
On Pro, each teacher has their own hours and the classes they teach, so students can book a named teacher's class. On Pro, rooms and equipment can be booked as resources, such as a reformer room with four machines.
Workshops and special classes
Studios run more than the weekly timetable: a Sunday workshop, a teacher-training taster, a seasonal retreat day in the studio. On Solo and Pro, each can be a one-off event with ticket types (for example early-bird and standard prices), QR tickets and check-in at the door. See events with tickets.
For a new studio, look busy on Solo and Pro can hide a share of free private-session times so the diary doesn't look empty, and free first classes help newcomers try you without a payment step.
Passes, payments and full classes
On Solo and Pro, students buy class passes and pay by card through your own Stripe, PayPal or Mollie account, and a full class offers freed places from its waiting list. On Pro, courses and memberships sit alongside the timetable. See every feature and its plan on the features page.
