Classes that stay small
Training works best in small groups. Each class in CaliDiary has its own number of places, and places are counted inside the booking lock, so a six-dog puppy class never ends up with seven. Levels keep puppies, adolescents and advanced dogs in the right groups.
Courses and passes
Most trainers sell courses, not single classes. On Pro, a course books a set of weekly sessions at once and can run only if enough dogs sign up. On Solo and Pro, class passes sell packs of sessions for drop-in classes. Owners pay by card through your own Stripe, PayPal or Mollie account.
One-to-one help, checked first
Behaviour work needs care. Use requests you approve for consultations: the time is held while you read the owner's answers, and you accept or decline. The booking form asks what the dog does, when it started and what has been tried.
Walking slots
Dog walkers run on fixed slots: a morning group walk, a lunchtime solo walk. Each walk is a service with its own places and length, owners book the days they need, and the form asks for the collection address and key arrangements. Owners' details stay on your own website.
Vaccinations and temperament
Group classes and group walks mix dogs that don't know each other. Ask about vaccinations and how the dog gets on with other dogs on every booking; on Solo and Pro, a "show only when" question can ask nervous or reactive dogs' owners for more detail and suggest a one-to-one session instead. Your notes after each class or walk build up on the owner's profile, so the next trainer or walker knows that this spaniel pulls on the lead or that this collie needs a quiet start.
Full classes filled again
When a class is full, owners can join the waiting list, and freed places are offered by email.
