Plans
Plans: Free, Solo, Pro
In the plugin
CaliDiary → Settings → Your business

When you need it

  • You have just installed CaliDiary and want emails and the booking form to show your business name.
  • New bookings and cancellations should go to a different email address, such as bookings@.
  • You want your logo at the top of the booking form.

Before you start

  • Upload your logo to the WordPress Media Library first if you want to use one (PNG or SVG with a see-through background looks best).

Step by step

  1. In WordPress, open CaliDiary → Settings. The Your business tab opens first.

[Screenshot to come] It will show: The Settings page on the Your business tab: the tab row (Your business first), the Your business card with Business name “Brightwell Advisory” and Email for booking notifications “[email protected]”.
The Your business tab with the business name and the email for booking notifications filled in (Settings → Your business)
  2. Under Your business, check the Business name. It starts as your WordPress site title and is shown on the booking page and in emails.

  3. Enter the Email for booking notifications: new bookings and cancellations are sent here. It starts as your WordPress admin email.

  4. Under Booking page, switch on Show your business name at the top of the booking form if you want it.

    • Logo (optional) appears only while this is on. Press Choose image, pick your logo and press Use this image. Without a logo, a round first letter is shown.
    • Each block, shortcode or Elementor widget can still show or hide the header for its own form.
[Screenshot to come] It will show: The Booking page card with “Show your business name at the top of the booking form” on, the Logo (optional) picker showing a chosen logo with Change image and Remove, and the “Powered by CaliDiary” toggle off.
The Booking page card with the business name header switched on and a logo chosen (Settings → Your business)
  5. Choose whether to Show a small “Powered by CaliDiary” link under the booking form. It is off unless you switch it on.

  6. Under Emails, choose the reminder customers get:

    • on Free, Reminder to customers: No reminder, or 2, 12, 24 or 48 hours before (24 hours to start with);
    • on Solo and Pro, Reminders to customers with Add a reminder for more than one.

Switch on Also email the person a booking is with if your team should get their own booking emails.

  7. Press Save settings. Only the settings on this tab are saved; a dot on another tab means it has unsaved changes of its own.

Tips

  • To change the wording of the emails, or switch some off, use the link Switch emails on or off, and change their wording and buttons (it opens CaliDiary → Emails).
  • The business name is also used on invoices on Solo and Pro, with the tax number from the Tax tab.
  • Use a shared address such as [email protected] for notifications, so nothing is missed when someone is away.
  • On Free, the Solo and Pro extras on this tab (booking form styles, review requests and up to three reminders) are shown as previews with a Solo badge.

Common problems

“Enter your business name.” appears
The Business name box is empty. Type the name customers know you by, then press Save settings again.
“Enter an email address, such as [email protected].”
The notification email is missing or mistyped. Check there are no spaces and that it has an @ and a full domain.
“Choose an image from the Media Library for your logo.”
The header is on but the logo was removed or never chosen. Press Choose image, or press Remove to use the round first letter instead.
I can't see the Logo box
It only shows while Show your business name at the top of the booking form is switched on.
“Only people who can upload files can change this.”
Your WordPress role can't upload files. Ask an administrator to choose the logo.
