Add your CaliDiary Pro licence

After buying Solo or Pro (or starting a free trial), add CaliDiary Pro to your website and activate your licence key.

Plans: Solo, Pro
In the plugin

Solo and Pro plans. A licence switches on the Solo or Pro features on your website. You need CaliDiary Pro, the paid add-on, for the Licence box to appear. Compare the plans.

When you need it

  • You have bought Solo or Pro, or started a free trial.
  • You have moved your website to a new address.
  • You want to free a website so its licence can be used elsewhere.

Before you start

  • Sign in to your CaliDiary account and find your licence key and the CaliDiary Pro download.

Step by step

  1. Download CaliDiary Pro from your CaliDiary account. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the file, then install and activate it. Keep the free CaliDiary plugin active too.

  2. Open CaliDiary → Settings and choose the Licence tab.

  3. In the Licence key box, paste the key from your CaliDiary account (it looks like CD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).

[Screenshot to come] It will show: The CaliDiary Pro licence card with CaliDiary Pro installed but no key yet: the Licence key box with the help “Such as CD-7K4Q-M2XP-9HTR-WN6B.”, Find your key, and Activate licence.
The Licence tab with an empty licence key box and the Activate licence button (Settings → Licence)
  4. Press Activate licence. You see Licence activated. This website is now on the … plan.

  5. Refresh the page to see every feature of your plan.

  6. Later, the box shows your Plan, Licence status, Renews on, Website and Last checked. Press Check now to check it straight away.

[Screenshot to come] It will show: An active licence: Plan Pro, Licence status Active, Key (partly hidden), Renews on, Website, Last checked, the buttons Check now and Remove from this website, and the Health box below with CaliDiary, WordPress, PHP and Database rows.
An active Pro licence with its renewal date, and the Health box below (Settings → Licence)

Tips

  • To move the licence to another website, press Remove from this website first. The site goes back to the Free plan; nothing is deleted.
  • If your website's address has changed, the box offers Move the licence to this address.
  • During a free trial the box shows how many days are left, with a button to keep your plan.
  • The Health box below shows your CaliDiary, WordPress, PHP and database versions. Quote them when you ask for support.

Common problems

“That licence key wasn't found. Copy it again from your CaliDiary account.”
Copy the whole key again, without spaces before or after it.
“This licence is already used on all the websites it covers…”
Remove it from a website you no longer use (in your CaliDiary account, or on that website's Licence tab), or add an extra website to your plan.
“CaliDiary.com couldn't be reached…”
Your website couldn't reach our licence server. Try again in a few minutes; if it keeps happening, ask your host whether outgoing connections are blocked.
“CaliDiary Pro isn't on this website.”
Install and activate the CaliDiary Pro plugin first (step 1). The licence box then appears here.
“This copy of CaliDiary Pro can't check licences. Please download it again…”
The download may be incomplete. Download CaliDiary Pro again from your account and upload it over the old copy.
