When you need it
- You want to explain to a client how to book with their pass.
- A client says their code doesn’t work.
Before you start
- The customer has bought a pass (or you sold them one) and has its code from the email.
- The booking set-up must have Accept passes and memberships on.
Step by step
-
The customer books as usual, entering their details, including their email address, along the way.
-
At Check and confirm, under How would you like to pay?, they choose Use my pass (or Use my pass or membership when you offer memberships).
[Screenshot to come] It will show: The Check and confirm step: How would you like to pay? with Use my pass chosen, Your code PS-7KQ2-M9XA after Check code, and the line showing the uses left and the use-by date. The booking form’s last step with a pass code checked and the uses left (The booking form on the website: Check and confirm) -
They type the code in Your code, such as
PS-7KQ2-M9XA, and press Check code. The code works only with the email address they entered. -
When the code is right, they see how many uses are left and until when, such as “6 advice sessions: 5 uses left, to use by 1 May 2027.”
-
They confirm the booking. The summary shows it is paid with their pass, and one use is taken for each place booked.
Tips
- Pass codes start with
PS-and membership codes withMB-. Spaces and small letters don’t matter. - A use comes back if you cancel the booking, or if the customer cancels in time (the pass type’s Cancel in time to get the use back).
- Customers are emailed a reminder a week before their pass runs out.
- When you add a booking yourself, type their code in Pass or membership code (optional): see Add a booking by phone.
- If you switched on Offer “Buy a pass” on the booking form, customers without a pass see Don’t have a pass yet? Buy a pass.
