The right artist for every piece
Clients choose a tattoo studio for an artist's style. In CaliDiary, each artist has their own hours, days off and the services they offer, so a booking for a fine-line piece only shows the artists who do fine line. With "anyone", the booking goes to the least busy artist who offers that service. Several artists and piercers on one booking form need Pro.
Designs before the session
The best consultations start with references. On Solo and Pro, the booking form can ask for reference images, the placement and the size, and a "show only when" question can ask cover-up clients for a photo of the existing tattoo. Images are stored privately on your website and only your staff can open them.
Deposits that protect long sessions
A full-day session is a day of an artist's time. On Solo and Pro, take a deposit by card through your own Stripe, PayPal or Mollie account when the client books, and the balance on the day. For large pieces, combine deposits with requests you approve, so the client is only charged once you accept.
Piercings and age
Piercings are short appointments that fill gaps between tattoo sessions. Ask for date of birth on the form, and for under-18s, the details of the parent or guardian attending. Answers are kept with each booking and on the client's profile.
When the diary is full
Popular artists book up months ahead. Clients can join the waiting list for a day or a range of days, and when a session is cancelled the place is offered to the next person by email.
