Pro plan. The Pro plan, and only once you have more than one location: with a single location the role would mean the same as seeing every booking. Compare the plans.
When you need it
- You have more than one branch, each with someone in charge of it.
- One branch’s staff should not see another branch’s bookings or customers.
Before you start
- You need at least two locations before the role is offered. With one location, Everything at their location would say exactly what seeing every booking already says.
- A branch manager is different from a team manager: a team manager looks after a group of people wherever they work, a branch manager looks after a place and everyone in it.
Step by step
-
On the Locations tab, check who works at each location. That is what a branch manager looks after.
-
Open Team → Roles and, under Each person’s role, choose Branch manager for them.
[Screenshot to come] It will show: The “Each person’s role” list with Branch manager chosen for one person, and the roles shown in the dropdown.Choosing Branch manager for someone on the Roles tab. (Team and locations → Team → Roles) -
Tick the locations they look after, and press Save locations.
[Screenshot to come] It will show: The locations ticked for that branch manager, with the Save locations button.Ticking the locations a branch manager looks after. (Team and locations → Team → Roles) -
Invite them to sign in, on Team → Sign-in. They then see and change only the bookings, people, hours and reports at their locations, and never your settings.
Tips
- Someone can look after more than one branch: tick as many locations as you need.
- Keeping branches apart is a data-protection point, not just tidiness: a manager in one town has no business reading another town’s customer details.
- If someone needs to see everything but change no settings, the Viewer role suits better.
