Pro plan. The Pro plan. On Free and Solo your whole business uses one currency; you see a preview of this on those plans. Compare the plans.
When you need it
- A branch abroad should quote in the local currency.
- You want customers to pay in euros or dollars without you watching exchange rates.
Before you start
- Add the location first: see Add a location.
- Decide the price you want in each currency. CaliDiary does not convert, on purpose, so an exchange rate can never surprise you or your customer.
Step by step
-
Open CaliDiary → Settings → Tax, press Change next to the location, choose its currency, and press Save location.
[Screenshot to come] It will show: The location’s window with its currency chosen, and the Save location button.Choosing a location’s own currency. (Settings → Tax → Change a location) -
Open each service offered at that location, and under Prices in other currencies enter its price in that currency.
[Screenshot to come] It will show: A service open with “Prices in other currencies” showing its euro price beside its pound price.A service priced in a second currency, typed rather than converted. (Appointments → Services → a service) -
Leave a service without a price in that currency and it simply cannot be booked at that location, so nobody is ever charged a wrong amount.
-
Check the booking form for that location: the prices shown should be the ones you typed, with that currency’s symbol.
Tips
- Payments, invoices and reports all use the booking’s own currency, and each currency is totalled on its own.
- Round the other currency’s prices to something tidy. Because you type them, they need not match today’s exchange rate.
- Your online payment account must accept that currency. Check with Stripe, PayPal or Mollie before you advertise it.
