Connect your own Stripe account to CaliDiary and customers pay by card when they book, in full or as a deposit. Payments go straight to your Stripe balance; CaliDiary adds no platform fee and never handles the money.

How it works

Connect Stripe in minutes

  1. Add your Stripe keys

    In Settings → Payments; they are stored encrypted on your website.

  2. Choose how people pay

    In full, a deposit, or on the day, for each booking set-up.

  3. Customers pay on Stripe

    Card details never touch your website.

  4. Marked paid automatically

    Stripe tells your website when a payment succeeds.

CaliDiary and Stripe

While a customer is paying, their time is held for 15 minutes so nobody else can take it. For requests you approve, customers are only charged once you accept.

What you can do

  • Full payments and deposits, with the balance taken later.
  • Refunds, in full or in part, recorded against the booking, with a credit note on Solo and Pro.
  • No-show fees charged to a card saved at booking.
  • Discount codes and invoices with VAT on every paid booking.

Questions about CaliDiary and Stripe

Does CaliDiary charge a fee on Stripe payments?
No. You pay Stripe its normal processing fees and nothing to us. There is no Stripe Connect platform in between.
Where are my Stripe keys kept?
On your own website, encrypted. They are never sent to CaliDiary.
Can I take a deposit and the rest later?
Yes. Take a deposit when someone books and the balance on completion, a set number of days before, or on the day.
