An AI assistant connector that runs on your own website

On the roadmap for Pro: connect an AI assistant to your CaliDiary diary, so you can ask questions such as "who is booked tomorrow afternoon?" in plain words. The connector runs on your own WordPress site and uses the same permission checks as the admin.

Everything about aI assistant connector

How it is planned

WordPress 6.9 and later include a standard way for plugins to describe what they can do (the Abilities API), and an adapter that lets AI assistants use those abilities through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). CaliDiary will describe its abilities, such as listing bookings, finding free times or adding a booking, so an assistant you connect can use them with your permission.

Safeguards

  • It only switches on when your WordPress version supports it.
  • It uses the same permission checks as the admin: an assistant can do no more than the person who connected it.
  • It runs on your website. CaliDiary's servers are not involved.

Using an AI assistant means what you ask, and the answers it needs, go to that assistant's provider, so choose one whose terms suit your business.
