Opening hours

Set your business hours

Business hours are when customers can book. Everyone follows them unless you give someone their own hours.

Plans
Plans: Free, Solo, Pro
In the plugin
CaliDiary → Opening hours → Business hours

When you need it

  • You are setting CaliDiary up and want to open for bookings.
  • You add a lunch break, or start opening on Saturdays.
  • A second office keeps different hours.

Step by step

  1. Open CaliDiary → Opening hours. The Business hours tab opens.

  2. With more than one location, choose a sub-tab: All locations for hours offered at every location, or a location’s own sub-tab for hours only there (as well as those on All locations).

[Screenshot to come] It will show: The Business hours card with the sub-tabs All locations, City office and West End office, All locations selected, and the sub-tab’s line “Hours here are offered at every location.”
Business hours with a sub-tab for all locations and one for each office (Opening hours → Business hours)
  3. Tick each day you are open. A newly ticked day starts at 09:00–17:00; unticked days show Closed.

  4. Set the opening and closing times. To leave a break, press Add hours on … for that day and add a second period, such as 09:00–12:30 and 13:30–17:30. Press Remove to take a period away.

[Screenshot to come] It will show: The week editor: Monday to Friday 09:00–12:30 and 13:30–17:30 (a lunch break), Saturday and Sunday unticked showing Closed, the Add hours on … links, and the Save business hours button with “You have unsaved changes.”
Business hours Monday to Friday with a lunch break, closed at weekends (Opening hours → Business hours)
  5. Press Save business hours. All the sub-tabs are saved together, and you see “Business hours saved.”

Tips

Common problems

“Enter both times, such as 09:00 and 17:30.”
A period needs an opening and a closing time. Fill in both, or press Remove.
“Each closing time must be after its opening time.”
Check you haven’t swapped the times, or typed 05:00 for 17:00.
“Periods on the same day must not overlap.”
Make the second period start after the first one ends.
“On …, the hours at one location overlap hours on another tab.”
Business hours can’t overlap across sub-tabs. Put hours that are the same everywhere on All locations, and only the extra hours on a location’s sub-tab.
