Which plan

Solo suits a teacher working alone; Pro suits a school

One teacher can run on Solo: unlimited lessons, packs of lessons, card payments, calendar sync and video links. A music or language school with several teachers, rooms or branches needs Pro, which adds courses for full terms.

Compare Free, Solo and Pro

One-to-one lessons that fit your week

Music and language teaching runs on regular slots: the same pupil, the same time, every week, with a few gaps for trial lessons and catch-ups. CaliDiary offers only the times you teach, with breaks between lessons, and you can book a pupil's next weeks yourself from the Overview screen. Two-way calendar sync on Solo and Pro keeps orchestra rehearsals and school runs out of the diary.

Trials and levels

A free trial lesson is the easiest yes for a new pupil. It books with no payment step, and the booking form asks for age, level and goals, such as a grade exam or a holiday. On Solo and Pro a dropdown can sort pupils by level, so a beginner never books an advanced conversation class.

Online lessons

Many language and music teachers teach online. On Solo and Pro, choose Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet for an online service and a video link is created for each lesson and sent to the pupil, so you never paste links into emails again.

Packs, terms and payments

Parents prefer to pay once for a block of lessons. Class passes on Solo and Pro sell packs of lessons with an expiry date; courses on Pro cover a full term. Card payments go to your own Stripe, PayPal or Mollie account, or show your bank details with each pupil's reference on every plan.

Exams and recitals

Grade exams, language certificates and end-of-term recitals all need planning. Ask about the goal on the booking form and keep notes after each lesson on the pupil's profile: pieces being learnt, scales to practise, vocabulary covered. When a pupil moves to another teacher in your school, the history goes with them. Recitals and concerts can be events with tickets, with seats for families and QR tickets at the door on Solo and Pro.

Groups and workshops

Conversation classes, choir sessions and ensemble workshops book as group sessions with a set number of places. One-off workshops can be events with tickets on Solo and Pro.

On the roadmap

Text reminders and the business app are on the roadmap. See every feature on the features page.

Questions from music and language teachers

Can pupils keep the same lesson time each week?
Yes. Book the weeks ahead for them from the Overview screen.
Can I teach some lessons online?
Yes, on Solo and Pro. Choose Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet for online services, and a link is made for each lesson.
Can parents pay for a block of lessons?
Yes. Class passes (packs of lessons) are on Solo and Pro, and term-long courses on Pro.
Can I run small group classes?
Yes, on every plan: set the number of places, and the class stops taking bookings when it is full.

Tutors

One-to-one lessons, free tasters and small revision groups, booked by parents.
